Issued 011 Jul 2026 · 12 clauses · How we collect, use, and protect your data
Plain-language summary We collect what's needed to book and support your trips, never sell your data, and share only what local partners need to fulfil a booking. You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time — details below.
This Privacy Policy explains how GlobeQuestHub collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you browse the platform, create an account, or book a quest. It applies alongside our Terms & Conditions and covers our website, mobile applications, and related services.
We designed this policy to be read by travelers, not lawyers. Wherever possible we explain not just what data we collect, but why we need it, how long we keep it, and who it might be shared with along the way. If a term or clause is unclear, our privacy team is always available to walk you through it in plain language.
By creating an account, browsing our destination guides, or completing a booking through GlobeQuestHub, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the practices described here. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, we encourage you to reach out before proceeding, so we can address your concerns directly rather than leaving you uncertain about how your information is handled.
We collect information in three main ways: what you give us directly when you register or book a quest, what is generated automatically as you use our platform, and what we occasionally receive from trusted partners such as accommodation providers or payment processors. The categories below cover the vast majority of the data we hold, though the exact fields may vary slightly depending on the destination, activity, or partner involved in a particular booking.
In some cases, you may choose to share additional information with us voluntarily, such as dietary preferences, accessibility needs, or emergency contact details for a specific trip. This information is collected solely to help our local partners plan a safer and more comfortable experience for you, and it is never used for any purpose beyond the trip it was provided for unless you separately consent to broader use.
We use your information to process and confirm bookings, communicate itinerary and safety updates, personalize quest recommendations, respond to support requests, prevent fraud, and improve the platform. We do not use your data to make automated decisions that produce legal effects without human review.
More specifically, booking data allows us to coordinate directly with airlines, accommodation providers, and local guides on your behalf, so that your itinerary runs smoothly from arrival to departure. Usage data helps our product team understand which destinations, filters, and features are genuinely useful, so that future updates to the platform reflect how travelers actually plan their trips rather than assumptions we might otherwise make.
Where we rely on your information for marketing purposes, such as suggesting a new quest based on past trips, we always give you a straightforward way to opt out. We also use aggregated and anonymized data, which cannot reasonably be linked back to you, to publish general travel trends and to negotiate better rates with our partners on behalf of the wider GlobeQuestHub community.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and for as long as needed to satisfy booking, tax, and legal record-keeping requirements after your last trip. Once that period ends, we delete or anonymize the data.
Retention periods differ depending on the type of information involved. Financial records tied to a booking are typically retained for the length of time required by applicable tax and accounting regulations, while support conversations and browsing history are generally kept for a much shorter window unless you ask us to retain them longer for an ongoing case. If you close your account, we remove personal identifiers from historical records wherever legally possible, retaining only the minimum needed to meet our obligations.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can ask for a portable copy of it. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the address in Clause 12.
We aim to respond to any rights request within a reasonable timeframe, and we will let you know if we need additional time or information to verify your identity before acting on a request. In some limited cases, such as an active booking that still requires your data to be completed safely, we may need to delay full deletion until the related trip has concluded. Where local law grants you additional rights beyond those described here, such as the right to object to certain processing or to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, those rights remain fully available to you.
We use encryption in transit and at rest, and restrict access to personal data to staff who need it to do their jobs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our security practices include regular access reviews, monitoring for unusual account activity, and periodic testing of our systems to identify and address vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. Employees and contractors who handle personal data receive training on our privacy and security obligations, and access is granted on a need-to-know basis tied to specific job responsibilities. In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities in line with applicable law.
GlobeQuestHub is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
Where a family books a trip that includes travelers under 18, the account holder is responsible for providing any necessary information on the minor's behalf, and for confirming that they have the authority to do so under applicable family and consumer protection law. We do not knowingly market directly to minors, and any account found to belong to someone under our minimum age requirement will be closed and the associated data removed promptly.
Because our local partners and service providers operate around the world, your data may be processed outside India. When it is, we use contractual and technical safeguards to keep it protected to the standard described in this policy.
These safeguards may include standard contractual clauses, adequacy assessments of the receiving country's data protection framework, and technical measures such as encryption during transfer. We select partners and infrastructure providers carefully, and we regularly review those relationships to confirm that the protections in place continue to reflect current legal requirements and best practice, regardless of where in the world your information is ultimately processed or stored.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app banner at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Where changes are minor, such as clarifying existing language or updating contact details, we may update the policy without individual notice, though the "Issued" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. We encourage you to revisit this page from time to time, particularly before a new booking, so that you remain informed about how your information is handled as our services evolve.
Questions about this policy, or want to exercise your data rights? Reach our privacy team directly. We aim to acknowledge every inquiry promptly and to resolve most requests without needing to escalate, but if you feel your concern hasn't been addressed adequately, you are always welcome to ask for it to be reviewed by a senior member of our privacy team.
